You are invited to be part of a WORLD RECORD!

What is Thrill The World 2009?
An annual worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” to raise money for charity and break the current world record for “Largest Simultaneous Thriller Dance”

Where and when?
Sunday, 25 October, 2009. South Perth foreshore – East of Douglas Ave; parking off Coode St. (Just look for the zombies!). 7.00am to warm up and stretch. There will be a full rehearsal at 7.30am. The event starts at 8.30am SHARP (The rest of the world will not wait for you if you are late!)

Why so early?
The time has been chosen to be 12.30am GMT/UTC on 25 October, 2009. This means that it will be on at different times around the world

What do I need to do?
  1. Send an email to ttw09perth@gmail.com, to let us know you are interested in participating, or register via our FaceBook site. This way we can keep track of numbers
  2. Start practicing the moves! Go to www.thrilltheworld.com. Please learn the dance in the sequence shown on the website
  3. Get your zombie costume and make up ready. This is not mandatory; purely for fun!
  4. Come down on the day and try to be early – the event only lasts 6 minutes so don’t miss it! Please go to the registration tables where you can sign in and hand in any donation money.
What does it cost?
Nothing – this is a free event run by volunteers. However, you are encouraged to undertake fundraising or make a donation towards our official charities, The David Wirrpanda Foundation and Kulunga Research Network. We will be collecting money on the day.

Can I still participate if I don’t want to dance?
Yes, we need plenty of volunteers, such as to film and take plenty of photos, be a Guiness World Record witness etc etc. No offer of help will be turned down.

How many people are you expecting?
We have no idea. This is just a group of friends who love MJ’s Thriller and want to be part of this world record attempt. The organizer is hoping to get 1 million people from around the world.

THIS IS A FREE AND VOLUNTARY EVENT OPEN TO ALL SO PASS IT ON!
